Myers-Briggs Disney Heroines by Ninquetolliel Myers-Briggs Disney Heroines by Ninquetolliel
I've found Myers-Briggs fascinating for years, ever since I first took the test for a class my freshman year of college. It's actually helped me realize things about myself - why I am the way I am and act differently from others.

I also love trying to figure out personality types of my family, friends, and fictional characters. The other day, I wondered how the different Disney ladies compared. I came up with these traits and decided to make a little poster showing them all. I often look through different forums to get other people's opinions, but I did not at this time. These are all my own ideas. (And there's plenty of room for different opinions!) The last little section with the one word descriptions is just my quick way of keeping track of what letters mean what - it's in no way complete!

(Many people guess traits by looking at the types as a whole, while I prefer to go over the pairs one at a time. For example, are they more I or E? Then more N or S? More T or F? More J or P? If I get stuck on a letter, I skip it and come back and compare them as a whole.)

I'd love to hear if you agree or not and what you think the girls should be! Does your type fit the girl? I like these tests because there isn't a "bad" option. Each type has awesome things about it!

Here are two (not very short) tests that you can take if you don't know your type. Keep in mind that these are not official Myers-Briggs tests, but they should help you figure out your type.

(I'm a INTJ, by the way!)

I think this is interesting, but in my opinion Belle and Tiana should be switched.  Belle, in my opinion, is more of a feeler, while Tiana is more of a thinker.

Also, on the bottom row, IJ types would be better as IP types and vice-versa.  For introverts, typing a princess as INTJ, shows a preference for perception, rather than judgment, since the last letter represents the first trait that is extraverted, not the actual dominant preference (which is introverted).  For example, from the tests I've taken, I am borderline between INTP and INTJ, but tend to consider myself slightly leaning towards INTP, in no small part because, contrary to what the "P" would suggest, INTPs prefer to "do", while INTJs prefer to "examine" (this may be why David Keirsey sorted INTPs as "Architects" and INTJs as "Masterminds").  So Tiana would be a prime candidate for INTP, since she constantly strives to control her surroundings, while Cinderella might be better typed as an INFJ.

Still, I like the idea of typing Disney princesses, especially because, for many girls, they are role models that have always seemed so far out of reach.  Also, I make no claims to be an expert on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator; everything I know is completely independent research and, as a result, may be faulty.  These are just my opinions based on what I've learned.

I'm sorry if this got long-winded.  But, to put it in perspective, BBC Sherlock has also been typed as an INTP.  (Incidentally, Mycroft has been typed as an INTJ.  For more information, check out this awesome tumblr page (blog?): sherlockcharacteranalysis.tumb… (I swear it's not mine)).

Oh this is so wrong.. Jasmine is ENTJ.. all the way. Pocahontas is not INTP I'm sorry.. having known 2 of them they're very head in the clouds of knowledge and wonder. Jane is NOT ENTJ.  You have some of them.. but a lot are not accurate.

I don't think Tiana is really an INFJ.  She has a plan for the future, but she's grounded very much in the NOW.  She doesn't really dream about life and wonder about the universe, so much as she pursues a very specific future dream.  Honestly, as an INFJ myself, I can't say I've ever seen anything familiar in her character. Someone like Belle is much closer to being an INFJ than Tiana is.  In fact, switching the two would fit better.  Think about it.  She knew what she wanted, and she made plans on how to get is, and she tried to adapt her plans for each road block.  That's more Strategist than Counselor/Protector.  Belle, on the other hand, has a naturally protective and curious nature, and has no trouble seeing the truth behind things, which is a telltale of INFJs.

All the greatest Disney heroines are Ts. I love it! Especially since I am a T. I'm rather disappointed about the character you assigned to my personality type. I'm an ENTJ, which you used Jane to represent. That's not to say that Jane isn't awesome. Actually, now that I think about it I see a lot of similarities between us. However, I was hoping for one of my favorites, like Esmerelda, Meg, or Mulan. Oh well, at least I didn't get Cinderella or Snow White XP This was really interesting and I'm definitely glad I found it!

Aurora on one result, Cinderella on the other. *shrug* Eh. Weird results considering all my friends say I immensely remind them of Rapunzel. *shrugs* Eh, oh well, I guess.

I'm... Pocahontas.
Sounds cool.

All of the typing is fairly accurate, but the one I agree with most is ISTP for Meg.

Also- You're an INTJ- We're both INT-s!!! Whoooo!!!
